Your First Email

Now that your agent is set up, let’s send your first email.

Before you start

Section titled “Before you start”

Make sure you’ve:

  1. Created your agent
  2. Configured your Anthropic API key in the dashboard

Send an email

Section titled “Send an email”

  1. Open your email client

    Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail — anything works.

  2. Compose a new email

    • To: yourname@tinyfat.com (your agent’s email)
    • Subject: Hello!
    • Body: Hi there! What can you do?

  3. Send it

    Your agent will wake up, process your message, and reply.

  4. Wait for the response

    First response may take 30-60 seconds while the container boots. Subsequent responses are faster.

Understanding the response

Your agent will reply from yourname@tinyfat.com. The response comes from the platform’s email system (Resend), so threading works normally in your email client.

Allowed senders

By default, only your email (the one you signed up with) can message your agent. This prevents spam and unauthorized access.

To allow others to email your agent, add them in the dashboard under Settings → Allowed Senders.

What skills do you have installed? List them with brief descriptions.

Give it a task

Create a file called notes.md with a summary of our conversation so far.

Tips for effective emails

  1. Be specific — “Summarize this article: [URL]” beats “Read this”
  2. One task at a time — Complex requests work better as follow-ups
  3. Check the workspace — Your agent creates files you can view in the dashboard
  4. Use MEMORY.md — Ask your agent to update its memory for persistent context
